Live Ammo Goes Off During Fire At Home In Thornton
THORNTON (CBS13) – A home in Thornton is a total loss after a fire Thursday morning.
Crews were first called to the scene near Walnut Grove and Thornton Roads a little before 6 a.m.
According to the fire department, the home was vacant for about a month. However, ammunition left in the home started going off during the blaze, complicating the firefight.

Photos sent in by viewers showed intense flames coming from the home.
Officials estimate the fire caused around $200,00 in damage.
