Light Earthquake Shakes Northern California

HAYFORK (AP) — A light earthquake has shaken a remote section of Northern California. The quake was felt 100 miles away in Eureka, but there are no reports of damages or injuries.

The magnitude-4.5 quake struck at 2:20 p.m. Sunday about 60 miles west of Redding near the small towns of Hayfork and Mad River.

The Redding Record-Searchlight says there are no reports of damage or injury in the area.
