Lenovo Recalls Laptops, Warning Screw Can Create Fire Hazard

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — Lenovo is issuing a recall for some of its ThinkPad laptops due to a fire hazard, but maybe not for the reason you're thinking.

The company warned an unfastened screw can damage the battery, which could cause that battery to overheat, creating a fire hazard.

The models affected are the 14-inch ThinkPad X1 laptops sold between December 2016 and October 2017.

The model information can be found using the picture above, or by visiting Lenovo's recall site.
