SOLANO COUNTY (CBS13) – A large marijuana grow hidden on an island in the delta was destroyed by authorities in Solano County Thursday morning.

According to the Solano County Sheriff's Office, the grow was hidden in a corn field on Ryer Island, north of Rio Vista. Detectives from the Solano County Sheriff's Office personnel from Cal-MMET, the Sheriff's Enforcement Team and a K9 deputy came out early Thursday morning to destroy the grow.

In total, about 3,700 mature marijuana plants were found at the site. Detectives estimate that the street value of the plants would have been about $7.4 million.

No suspects were at the scene and no arrests, at this point, have been made in connection to the grow, deputies say.
