Large Law Enforcement Presence At Carmichael Store After Deputy-Involved Shooting

CARMICHAEL (CBS13) - A large number of sheriff's department personnel have gathered near a convenience store in Carmichael where a deputy-involved shooting reportedly happened Thursday afternoon.

Details about the shooting are scarce, but we know it happened around 2:20 p.m. in the area of the 7-Eleven on the corner of Marconi and Walnut avenues, the Sacramento County Sheriff's Department confirmed.

An employee of the store said it began when who was acting "crazy" walked into the store.

The parking lot of the business is blocked off with police tape.
