Kings Waive Guard David Stockton

SACRAMENTO (CBSSacramento.com) -- The Sacramento Kings announced Thursday the move to waive rookie guard David Stockton, cutting the current roster down to 15 players. Stockton will have the opportunity to join the Kings' D-League team, the Reno Bighorns.

Stockton, son of "Dream Team" point guard and hall of famer John Stockton, played just three games for the Kings last season. He tallied just eight points, two rebounds and nine assists in 33 minutes off the bench.

This preseason was also underwhelming. Just four points, five rebounds and four assists in 17 minutes off the bench spanning over three games.

The 24-year-old Gonzaga grad signed a two-year contract with the Kings back in April.
