Kings' Malik Monk out with ankle sprain, to be re-evaluated in 2 weeks
SACRAMENTO — The Sacramento Kings will be without sixth man Malik Monk for at least a couple of weeks after he suffered a right ankle sprain in the team's overtime win over the Phoenix Suns on Sunday.
The Kings said Monk's X-rays show no structural damage, and he will be re-evaluated in two weeks.
In other injury news, Devin Carter, Sacramento's first-round pick in this year's draft, was cleared for unrestricted shooting after a four-month follow-up appointment following surgery to repair a torn labrum in his left shoulder. The team said more information on Carter's recovery will come in January.
Kings big man Orlando Robinson, who signed a one-year deal with Sacramento during the offseason, has been cleared for contact and will be re-evaluated in the coming days after an MCL sprain, the team said. Robinson suffered the injury in early October and has yet to make an appearance this season.
