Kings Fizzle Out Vs. Rockets, 116-110

The Sacramento Kings continued to struggle in their third game without All-Star DeMarcus Cousins, falling at home to the Houston Rockets, 116-110.

James Harden's 43 points paced the Rockets(3-3), 17 of which came in a second quarter that left the Rockets with an 11-point halftime advantage. Harden also chipped in a game-high 13 assists and made 13-of-16 from the foul line. Clint Capela had a career-high 13 points, 12 rebounds, and 4 blocks for the Houston. Former King Marcus Thornton scored 16 points in his return to Sacramento.

Omri Casspi and Darren Collison tied for a team-high 22 points off the bench for Sacramento (1-5), whose starters managed just 40 points on the night. Seth Curry played a season-high 15 minutes, hitting a pair of threes and totaling 8 points. As a team, the Kings shot 9-of-28 from beyond the arc while allowing Houston to connect on 15 of their 36 attempts from distance.

Dwight Howard sat out for the Rockets, who travel to L.A. tomorrow to battle the Clippers.

The Kings host Golden State tomorrow night.
