Kings Announce Peja Hiring, Vlade As GM

The Sacramento Kings released a statement updating their front office roles today, changing Vlade Divac from Vice President of Basketball  and Franchise Operations, to VP of Basketball Operations and General Manager.

On top of clarifying Vlade's role, the team named fan-favorite and former King Peja Stojakovic as Director of Player Personnel and Development. Vlade and the ownership group publicly discussed hiring Stojakovic in the past, but now we will see what kind of changes Peja will bring to the development stages of the organization.

As a part of his duties, Stojakovic will be the General Manager of the Reno Bighorns, the Kings D-League affiliate, and will help manage scouting for both domestic and international prospects.

Mike Bratz, a former coach, scout, player and front office executive,  has been named the Assistant General Manager, while Roland Beech is the Vice President of Basketball Strategy and Data Science.

"We're fortunate as an organization to enter this season with three professionals of this caliber," said Divac on Kings.com. "Having such individuals as integral members of our basketball operations team offers more than a unique set of basketball philosophies, experiences and instincts, but also a depth of character commonly associated with winning cultures. With Mike, Roland and Peja on board, I'm more confident than ever in the future success of the Sacramento Kings."
