Kimball Island Fire Burning Out Of Control In Sacramento County

KIMBALL ISLAND (CBS13) — An out-of-control fire is threatening homes in Sacramento County amid a dry California winter.

The Solano County Sheriff's Department is reporting one home is fully involved, while at least two other homes are threatened by the blaze nearing 50 acres in size.

The fire on Kimball Island is being driven by winds and dry conditions on an unusually warm winter day. Temperatures have been pressing toward and above the 70s in most of Northern California.
