Teen Killed By Hit-And-Run Driver In East Stockton

STOCKTON (CBS13) – Authorities say the man wanted in connection to a hit-and-run crash that took the life of a teenager has turned himself in.

The scene was along Highway 4 at S. Walker Lane. According to California Highway Patrol, a blue Chevy Trailblazer hit a juvenile pedestrian just before 6:20 a.m. and took off.

The teen was killed in the crash. No details about the teen have been released.

Authorities released a description of the suspect's car and later identified a person of interest as 30-year-old Antonio Araujo.

Coworkers of Araujo reportedly saw that he was wanted to told him to turn himself in. Early Thursday afternoon, Araujo turned himself over to Tracy police.
