Jason Ross: Best/Worst Of Week 6 In NFL

Here are my thoughts on the best and worst of week 6 of the NFL:

Best Play:  This is at the Oakland Raiders expense, but for Andy Reid to call a screen pass to a 350 pound nose tackle was crazy good.  Dontari Poe caught the pass and followed his blockers for an easy score.  Creative play and executed perfectly.

Worst Play: It wasn't the worst play of the weekend but the results could be.  The play in which Ben Roethlisberger got hurt in Miami resulting in a knee scope this week.  That made the Steelers less effective this last week and robs all us NFL fans of seeing Big Ben vs. Brady in week 7.  Boo!

Best Decision:  I guess firing Greg Roman has proved to be brilliant for the Buffalo Bills.  Promoting Anthony Lynn to play caller has resulted in more touches for LeSean McCoy and the offense is rolling to four consecutive wins.

Worst Decision:  To not use spell check when creating the Jacksonville Jaguars jerseys.  Prince Amukamara had "Amuakmara" on the back of his jersey this last Sunday.  It may not seem like a big deal but honestly who likes their name spelled incorrectly?  Nobody that I know.  Gotta get that one right.

Best of Odell Beckham Jr.:  His stat line...211 yards with two touchdowns including the game winner on a 4th and 1 for a 66-yard score.

Worst of Odell Beckham Jr.:  The proposal to the kicking net.  This has gone from kind of funny and creative to just downright weird.

Best of making something out of nothing:  Terrelle Pryor.  Pryor was a QB in college and tried that route in the  NFL.  It has not really worked for him, but he is starting to make noise weekly as a wide receiver.  Last Sunday he had 9 catches for 75 yards and two TD's.  Nicely done.

Worst at making something out of nothing:  Making a mess is what Hue Jackson did for the Browns this last weekend.  Trailing by 15 late in the game against the Titans, the Browns scored and Coach Jackson elected to go for two with just over two minutes to go.  Cleveland did not convert on the two-point try, leaving them down by nine.  This virtually ended the game.  The problem was that Cleveland got the onside kick and went down and scored again. They kicked the extra point and lost by two.  Had Hue waited they would have been down eight and that last drive would have been very dramatic.  Live and learn and at this point they Browns stay winless.
