Investigators: Man Shot, Killed By Deputies Wouldn't Put Down Knife

SACRAMENTO COUNTY (CBS13) - Deputies are investigating a deadly deputy-involved shooting near Citrus Heights.

The shooting happened late Thursday night on Brahms Court near Roseville Road.

According to the Sacramento County Sheriff's Department, deputies were called to the scene for a reported domestic dispute. Deputies say a man involved in the dispute left the scene - but when he came back, he allegedly had a knife.

Deputies tried several times to get the man to put the knife down; that's when the man began to challenge deputies to a fight.

One of the deputies ended up firing and killing the man.

The man's identity has not been released.
