Man Being Held At Sacramento County Jail Dies

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) - Authorities say an inmate died while in custody at the Sacramento County Jail.

Deputies say the inmate's cellmate was the person who noticed the man was unresponsive and unconscious Wednesday morning. Medics were called to the scene and the 52-year-old man was taken to the hospital. He was later pronounced dead.

No signs of trauma have been found and investigators do not believe foul play was involved. The man, whose identity has not been released, had been in custody since Tuesday on a drug-related warrant.

The Sacramento County Sheriff's Department is still investigating the incident.
