Deadly I-80 crash near Vacaville sees lingering traffic impacts
SOLANO COUNTY – Lanes remained blocked through the morning commute hours after a deadly crash on Interstate 80 near Vacaville early Tuesday.
The crash happened a little after 4 a.m. on the eastbound side of the freeway near Leisure Town Road.
Exactly what led up to the crash is unclear, but California Highway Patrol confirmed that at least one person had died.
All eastbound lanes were blocked for a time just after the crash. By 6 a.m., one right lane had reopened but the left lanes remained blocked.
No estimated time of full reopening has been given.
