Woman Killed In Crash Along I-5 North Of Woodland

YOLO COUNTY (CBS13) - A person has died after being hit by a big rig north of Woodland Thursday morning.

The scene is along Interstate 5, near the Highway 16 Esparto exit. California Highway Patrol says the incident happened just after 6 a.m.

A person apparently pulled over along the freeway and was then struck and killed by a semi truck, officers say.

Northbound lanes were shut down at the County Road 99 offramp and traffic was being diverted.

There is no estimated time of reopening at this point.
