Hotel Catches Fire In Roseville; 34 People Evacuated

ROSEVILLE (CBS13) - Dozens of people were evacuated from their hotel rooms in Roseville after fire broke out on Tuesday morning.

Around 4:40 a.m., 34 residents in the Barker Hotel, which is 300 Lincoln Street, awoke to the sound of an alarm and the smell of smoke. Some of the residents escaped using the hotel's fire escape, while others had to be rescued by Roseville Fire Department firefighters using a ladder truck.

A spokesperson with the fire department says one room was damaged.

Lincoln Street is expected to remain closed for a few more hours as the investigation into the fire continues.

The hotel is above the well-known Boxing Donkey pub.
