Homicide Detectives Searching For Clues In Foothill Farms Double Homicide

FOOTHILL FARMS (CBS13) —The Sacramento County Sheriff's Department is appealing for witnesses to come forward after two men were shot dead Saturday night at a strip mall in Foothill Farms.

Details are limited but some witnesses describe a family argument that turned deadly .

Police tell us the strip mall was packed Saturday night, and as they look for motive and witnesses, they say plenty of people are talking on social media.

But, so far, not to them.

A video shot by an onlooker captures the moment two men were killed.

A single gunshot can be heard then two men are on the ground

"I see these two guys arguing and I didn't think it was just going to be an argument or fight or something like that," says witness Jordan Dearborn.

"See one guy pull his gun out of his jacket the other guy pulled his gun from his waist and I guess they both hecka drunk and they just going back and forth back and forth and you hear one shot go off you hear another shot go off and after that multiple shots and their both just," recalls Dearborn.

"Fire department arrived transferred one of the victims to the hospital where he later died, the other victim at the scene he was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics," says Sacramento County Sheriff's Deputy Shaun Hampton. "We don't have any suspects identified at this point but we are looking at any video surveillance speaking with witnesses."

Some witnesses say the two victims were close

"To be honest it was probably like a family thing," says Jordan Dearborn. "They lived together and stuff like that I don't know nobody really knows but the family you have to talk to the family."

The Sheriff's Department wants to speak with anyone who was in the busy strip mall Saturday night.

The effort right now for police locate any social media evidence of what happened as well as surveillance footage.
