Crash Scatters Debris Across SB Highway 99
SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – The latest on a big rig crash on Highway 99.
7:59 a.m.
Caltrans says one lane of Highway 99 has been reopened.
Crews estimate the rest of the freeway to be back open after 8 a.m.
6:40 a.m.
All southbound lanes of Highway 99 at Fruitridge Road are blocked Thursday morning due to an overturned big rig.
Exactly what led up to the crash is unclear, but it resulted in all lanes being blocked.

The crash spilled metal debris all over the roadway. Crews are now working to clean up the mess.
Traffic is being diverted at the Fruitridge off-ramp.
No estimated time of reopening has been given.
