4-Vehicle Crash Blocked Highway 12 In Sacramento River Delta

ISLETON (CBS13) – The latest on a crash on Highway 12 in the Delta on Tuesday:

11:33 a.m.

Caltrans says all lanes are now open after the four-car crash blocked Highway 12.

It's still unclear exactly what led up to the crash.

8:59 a.m.

Highway 12 is closed Tuesday morning after a crash involving several vehicles.

The incident happened a little after 7:30 a.m. on Highway 12 between Mokelumne River and Jackson Slough.

According to the River Delt Fire District, a total of five vehicles, including at least one big rig, were involved in a crash.

Exactly what led up to the crash is unclear, but the mess left all lanes of Highway 12 closed through Tuesday morning.

No one was seriously injured in the crash, firefighters say.

No estimated time of reopening of Highway 12 has been given. Drivers are being advised to use a different route.
