High-Speed Police Pursuit In Rio Linda Ends With Crash; Suspect At Large

RIO LINDA (CBS13) - A high-speed police pursuit involving a stolen car ended in a crash Wednesday morning.

The chase happened in Rio Linda just after 4 a.m., and ended along Elkhorn Boulevard and Camelot Street.

Police say the chase began after officers received reports of people stealing vehicles in the area.

When police investigated, they say they spotted a woman stealing a vehicle 90s-model Honda Accord. They pursued the woman who reportedly topping speeds of 90 miles per hour before she crashed.

The woman left the car and ran away. Police set up a perimeter around the area but were unable to find her.

Another suspect was arrested, but police were not sure if he was linked to the thefts.

In all, two stolen cars were recovered.
