SOUTH SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — The driver of a reportedly stolen vehicle led officers on a high-speed chase from Citrus Heights to South Sacramento Wednesday night.

Citrus Heights Police confirmed that an officer located a stolen Honda Civic along Greenback Lane in Citrus Heights. When officers came across the vehicle, it reportedly pulled into a parking lot and then drove away.

The officer was not in his vehicle as the suspect drove away and the suspect attempted to run over an officer, forcing the officer to jump out of the way. The officer sustained minor injuries and was treated at the scene.
