High School Football Player In Manteca Wins Ticket To Super Bowl 50

MANTECA (CBS13) - One very lucky player on the Sierra High School football team in Manteca won a pretty amazing prize Tuesday.

He won a ticket to Super Bowl 50.

A generous donor from Tuff Boy Leasing  won the tickets and decided to donate them to the football team after they were crowned division four state champions!

The team's head coach, Jeff Harbison, claimed one ticket and told the boys during Monday night's sports banquet that one of them would get to go.

The Manteca Police Chief's Foundation also donated a check for $1,000 to the team.

"Our goal is to donate a little bit more to the fund and take as many of you as we can to the Super Bowl Experience in San Francisco on Saturday, the day before the game," said head coach Harbison.

The winning player hopes the Carolina Panthers go to the Super Bowl.

Watch CBS13 on February 7 for Super Bowl coverage throughout the day.
