High School Basketball Player Accused Of Going Into Stands For Fight

LOS ANGELES (AP) -- A Los Angeles County high school student is accused of leaving his spot on the basketball court during a game to assault a student from the opposing school in the stands.

The Los Angeles Times reports that the Golden Valley player was arrested Tuesday after being accused of walking off the court at the end of the game to assault a West Ranch student.

Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff's Department Lt. Derek Sabatini says the victim suffered lacerations to the face and was treated by paramedics at the scene.

West Ranch won the game.
