Heavy Rain Rolls Through Sacramento Region
SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — Heavy rain and plenty of lightning strikes are making for a wild afternoon in the Sacramento area.
A band of rain and thunderstorms made their way north on the eastern side of the valley on Wednesday afternoon. Parts of the region that were disappointed by their lack of rain on Tuesday were rewarded for their patience with heavy rain.
About 5,000 people are without power in southeastern Sacramento County.
Thunderstorms were moving northward over the Sacramento region. Thunderstorms will contain hail up to half an inch and heavy rain. The heaviest rain will be over Folsom, Granite Bay and Rocklin. #CAwx pic.twitter.com/q5c2Ld1lY6
