Gunshot Victim, 18, Dropped Off In Front Of Marysville Hospital, Dies

MARYSVILLE (CBS13) – Police are looking for the group who dropped off a young man suffering from a fatal gunshot wound in front of Rideout Hospital Friday evening.

Marysville Police say a white Ford hatchback pulled up in front of an ambulance parked in front of the emergency room around 6 p.m. A passenger inside the car then got out and waved the paramedics down for help.

A paramedic then helped unload an injured man from the car. Police say that as soon as the injured man was out, the passenger got back in and the driver took off.

Medics found that the injured man had suffered a gunshot wound to his chest. He was soon pronounced dead, police say.

Police have only identified the victim as an 18-year-old man.

The car was last seen heading west on 3rd Street from Rideout Hospital. Police do not know where the shooting happened and are asking anyone with more information to call them at (530) 749-3900.
