Longview Drive Reopened After Grass Fires

10:19 p.m. Update: Longview Drive has reopened to traffic, according to CHP.

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — Two grass fires in North Highlands closed Longview Drive in both directions Wednesday night.

One of the fires was a quarter-acre and was contained by firefighters just before 10 p.m.

It was reportedly burning in the grassy field between Longview and Interstate 80.

Firefighters did not provide acreage for the second fire, which was burning off Fulton Avenue.

No property damage has been reported. Both fires were contained and firefighters were wrapping up by 10:30 p.m.
