Gov. Brown Says He'll Be Voting For Hillary Clinton In California Primary

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) - Governor Jerry Brown has officially endorsed Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton.

In an open letter he addressed to California Democrats and independent voters Tuesday morning, Gov. Brown wrote that "I believe this is the only path forward to win the presidency and stop the dangerous candidacy of Donald Trump."

Gov. Brown did praise Clinton's challenger Bernie Sanders, saying he's been very impressed with his campaign.

"He has driven home the message that the top one percent has unfairly captured way too much of America's wealth, leaving the majority of people far behind. In 1992, I attempted a similar campaign," Gov. Brown wrote.

Presumptive Republican Party presidential nominee Trump has been busy campaigning around California. Trump is scheduled to make an appearance in Sacramento on Wednesday.

California's Primary Election will take place on June 7.
