Google Feature Tells You When Shopping Lines Are Shortest

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. (CBS Sacramento) - Google wants to take the guesswork out of waiting in line.

It's added an add-on feature for Chrome and Android phones that allows shoppers to see peak hours for a nearby store, reports People Magazine.

It also will show when the best time is to go without facing a lot of other shoppers.

The search engine giant says all you'll have to do is search for your favorite grocery store, coffee shop or gym, tap on the title and look at a bar graph that highlights the most popular times for people to visit that establishment.

The information will be updated each hour with real-time data, giving shoppers an up-to-date report on the store's happenings.

The feature is scheduled to be rolled out over the next couple of days.
