Girl Grazed By Bullet In Random Del Paso Heights Shooting

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) - A 12-year-old girl had a close call on Monday night after someone fired shots and her and a friend.

Around 11:30 p.m. Monday, the two were sitting in a vehicle near Mama Marks Park in Del Paso Heights when an unknown man pulled up in an older sedan and confronted the victims. He pulled out a gun and fired several times at the vehicle, grazing the girl on the neck, according to a Sacramento Police Department statement.

The suspect then went back to his car and sped off. His vehicle was later found in the 3800 block of Haywood Street.

The shooting remains under investigation.
