Girl, 15, Dead After Crash On Capital City Freeway

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – A 15-year-old girl is dead after an accident on the Capital City Freeway Sunday afternoon.

The crash happened just before 4 p.m. near the N Street exit of Business 80

California Highway Patrol says a pickup truck rear-ended a car with the girl and her parents inside, pushing it into a big rig.

The parents and driver of the truck were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

CHP says drugs and alcohol do not look to be a factor in the crash. They are still investigating the incident.
