Giants Will Travel in Luxury As 2015 Approaches

The San Francisco Giants want to travel in more comfort as they chase another championship.

General manager Brian Sabean says the team has entered into a lease agreement with a private air carrier that is retrofitting a Boeing 757 with 90 first-class seats, providing players more space than their previous travel on charters through Delta and United. Sabean declined Friday to name the company while making the announcement ahead of the team's FanFest on Saturday.

Sabean even referenced 6-foot-5, 235-pound World Series MVP Madison Bumgarner and how even with a full row to himself in the coach section "he's still going to be a pretzel trying to get some sleep and trying to relax."

The Giants say a handful of West Coast teams, such as Oakland and Seattle, have used private carriers.
