Garbage Truck Catches Fire In South Sacramento

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) - A garbage truck caught fire, blocking a south Sacramento street for some time Thursday morning.

The scene was near 65th Street and Florin Road.

Emergency crews were called to the scene just after 6 a.m. after a report of a vehicle on fire. At the scene, crews found that a garbage truck in flames.

Firefighters were able to contain the blaze to the garbage truck. No one was injured in the fire, Sacramento Fire says.

Eastbound Florin Road at 65th was closed for a short time due to the fire.
