Funeral Being Held Saturday Morning For Slain Grant High Student

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) - Family and friends are preparing to say goodbye to a high school football star who was killed in a drive-by shooting.

Services for J.J. Clavo begin Saturday morning at 10 a.m. at Calvary Christian Center.

The 17-year old was killed near Grant High School hours before a playoff game.

Already $30,000 has been gathered for information that would lead to an arrest and conviction, with Sacramento County leaders announcing their intentions to add another $5,000 to the pot.

Clavo was set to play in a playoff football game on Nov. 13, but hours before kickoff, he and a teammate were shot in a car that was sprayed with bullets.
