Frightening Lucille Ball Statue Has 'I Love Lucy' Fans Irate On Facebook

CELORON, NEW YORK (CBS13) — A Facebook page around an unflattering statue of Lucille Ball is gaining traction once again.

The statue has stood in Lucille Ball Memorial Park in her hometown in Celoron, New York, since 2009. The Facebook page demanding the statue be removed was started in 2012, but recently came back into the spotlight with an article from The Post-Journal in Jamestown, New York.

The statue is a frightening visage of the "I Love Lucy" star holding a bottle and spoon in a recreation of a scene from the show. It features Ball with a wide, dead-eyed stare, mouth half open in a borderline ghoulish expression.
