Former Stockton Teacher Accused Of Sexual Misconduct With Students

STOCKTON (CBS13) - Investigators have arrested a former teacher accused of sexual misconduct with his students.

The alleged incidents happened back in 2009. According to the Stockton Police Department, an anonymous tipster told detectives in November that Lincoln High School teacher Matthew Teeters had sent a student explicit messages.

The tipster also said Teeters had inappropriately touched the 15-year-old girl.

An investigation was launched and detectives discovered that Teeters also allegedly sent explicit messages to another 15-year-old student of his around the same time.

Thursday, detectives arrested the now 41-year-old Teeters on multiple felony charges. He was booked at San Joaquin County Jail.

Detectives note that their investigation is still active and they ask anyone with more information to call at (209) 937-8377.
