Former Nevada County School District Teacher Accused Of Having Sexual Relationship With Teen

PLACER COUNTY (CBS13) - Placer county sheriff deputies have arrested a teacher for allegedly having an inappropriate relationship with a minor.

Forty-five-year-old Gina Holbrook of Foresthill is accused of having a sexual relationship with a 17-year-old boy that started in late 2015 and lasted over an eight-month period. Following their investigation that began in late September, detectives on Thursday arrested Holbrook for a variety of charges including unlawful sexual intercourse with a minor, oral copulation with a minor, and digital penetration with a minor.

According to detectives, during this time, Holbrook was a teacher in the Nevada County School District. The teen was not a student of hers nor was he enrolled in the school district.

The district has confirmed she is no longer employed at the school.

Holbrook posted bail of $75,000.
