Former Leader Of Hell's Angels In California Pleads Guilty To Drug Trafficking Charges
ROCHESTER, N.Y. (AP) — A former leader of the Hell's Angels in California admits he was part of a trafficking operation that spread methamphetamine through western New York.
The U.S. attorney's office says 64-year-old Richard Mar was president of the Monterey, California chapter of the motorcycle club when he supplied significant quantities of the drug to the Rochester chapter for distribution from 2002 to 2010.
Mar pleaded guilty to conspiracy in federal court in Rochester Monday and will be sentenced in June.
He was among several people charged in 2012 as part of an investigation into drug trafficking and other crimes involving the western New York and Monterey, California Hell's Angels.
