Former Kings Forward Jason Thompson Waived By Warriors

The Golden State Warriors waived Jason Thompson on Sunday.

Thompson, who spent seven seasons with the Sacramento Kings, played in just 28 games for Golden State.

The power forward was waived by the Warriors for the team to make room on the roster for Anderson Varejao, who the team signed on the same day.

SB Nation reporter Tom Ziller thinks Thompson will not have a problem finding another team.

All of the teams listed in Ziller's Tweet all have a need for an athletic big man.

Thompson has primarily been a starter for his career until he landed a spot on the Warriors roster. He will not be a starter for any team he signs with, but he can provide quality minutes coming off the bench.

In the seven seasons with the Kings, Thompson averaged around nine points and seven rebounds per game.
