Former Deputy, Delta College Coach Accused Of Raping Unconscious Student Athlete

STOCKTON (CBS13) — A former San Joaquin County Sheriff's deputy now coaching at Delta College is facing allegations that he raped a student athlete while she was unconscious.

The Stockton Police Department says Donald Tisher sexually assaulted an 18-year-old student athlete in her Stockton home. The district attorney says it happened while the woman was unconscious.

Tisher is listed as a track and field assistant coach on the team's website.

The school's human resources director did not return repeated calls with questions about Tisher's employment status.

Outside of the home of the former deputy, his stepdaughter says she's disgusted by the allegations against him and believes they are true.

"F--- no—excuse my language—no, no I do not want to defend him in anyway," she said.

Tisher was featured in a story CBS13 reported on last year where he was credited with stopping a backyard burglar.
