Foresthill Road Closed When Big Rigs Collide, Dump Logs
PLACER COUNTY (CBS13) - The Interstate 80 off-ramp at Foresthill Road was closed Monday morning after two big rigs collided, scattering logs across Foresthill Road.
Around 7:20 a.m., the trucks crashed in the area of Drivers Flat Road -- about 10 miles west of Interstate 80 -- causing the trailer from at least one of the vehicles to overturn and spill its load of about a dozen massive logs. Diesel also leaked on the roadway.
As a result, traffic on Foresthill Road was closed in both directions. It reopened around 9:50 a.m.
The condition of the passengers involved is unknown.
