Flooding Closes Access To Soda Springs

SODA SPRINGS (CBS13) – The aftermath of recent rains are creating havoc in Soda Springs, shutting streets and blocking neighborhoods.

The flooding began earlier Sunday.

Traffic was blocked for close to seven hours. The Office of Emergency Services were on hand to handle the situation

Three to four hundred people were trapped in their homes or stuck in the area.

Officials say ice got caught under the bridge.

Crews reopened the road just before 4:30 p.m., with traffic being escorted through the still water-logged area.
