First Trailer For 'Rogue One: A Star Wars Story' Released

Ready for more Star Wars?

Lucasfilm released the first trailer for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story on Thursday morning. The film will help fill the gap for fans waiting for the next main installment of the series, as well as tell a new side to an already familiar story.

Set between the events of Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith and Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope, Rogue One will tell the story of how the Rebellion was able to steal the plans for the first Death Star.

The film stars Felicity Jones, Mads Mikkelsen and Forest Whitaker. It's set to open on Dec. 16, 2016.
