First Dog Sutter Brown Returns Home After Aggressive Cancer Diagnosis
SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — California's first dog is back at home and resting after a long trip to the veterinarian.
Sutter underwent emergency surgery on Oct. 7 and spent more than a week at a pet hospital. Vets weren't able to remove all of what turned out to be an aggressive cancer in his intestines, lymph nodes and liver.
Sutter is more alert and as handsome as ever, but still not ready to come home. Let's keep rooting for him! #suttercomehome pic.twitter.com/GCVgBze5ep

The 13-year-old Welsh corgi has been a big political figure, with more than 10,000 followers on Twitter.
Sutter made it home last night, likely for a few more days surrounded by his family, including his sister Colusa 'Lucy' Brown.
Finally got Sutter home! He rolled in the grass, sniffed all his favorite places and then passed out. #suttercamehome! pic.twitter.com/bAv0i8MOwu
