Firefighters Suspect Arson In North Highlands House Fire

NORTH HIGHLANDS (CBS13) - Fire investigators say a house fire in Sacramento County Monday morning was arson.

The fire started around 5:30 a.m. in the garage of a home in the 4500 block of Ashcroft Avenue in North Highlands. It spread to the kitchen of the home where three people had been living.

The fire spread from the garage to the kitchen. Damage is estimated to be at $75,000.

Firefighters were at the same address on Tuesday after an RV caught fire.

Investigators are looking into a possible connection between the two incidents.
