Firefighters Battle Vegetation Fire On American River Parkway Near Cal Expo

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — Firefighters are working to knock down a vegetation fire on the American River Parkway.

The fire is burning east of Cal Expo near Howe Avenue and the River.

Video from a viewer shows a tree engulfed in flames as the fire made its way to the bike path.

It's unclear how big the fire is at this time.
