LODI (CBS13) – Crews are cleaning up after a two-alarm house fire in Lodi early Thursday morning.

It happened just before 4 a.m. on Church Street, just north of Highway 12.

All of the people living inside the home were able to get out safely – and a couple of pet turtles were rescued from the home by firefighters.

"There's extensive fire damage on the second floor. We're going to be out here for quite a while," said Lodi Fire Chief Ron Penix.

Fire crews are investigating the cause of the fire.
