Fire In Rural Elk Grove Burns Two Structures
SACRAMENTO COUNTY (CBS13) – Firefighters are mopping up a fire that burned two outbuildings late Wednesday morning.
The scene is along the 10400 block of Calvine Road.
Crews say the fire quickly grew to 10-15 acres. However, just after noon, Cosumnes Fire announced that the fire had been contained. Two outbuildings were damaged by the fire, but officials say several homes and horses were saved.

In all, Cosumnes Fire says the fire burned about 50 acres before it was contained. About 25 homes were saved, crews estimate.
Investigators are currently trying to figure out what caused the fire. Crews will be out for some time doing mop-up work.
