700-Acre Fire Burning Off Clay Station Road In Sacramento County

SACRAMENTO COUNTY (CBS13) — Crews battled a fast-moving grass fire off of Clay Station Road in Sacramento County Wednesday evening.

According to Cal Fire, the fire burned approximately 700 acres and is 25% contained. The fire burned on the east side of Wilton near Momtoma Lane.

Clay Station Road was closed north of Momtoma Lane to south of Katenta Lane.

There were several ground and air resources fighting the fire. Firefighters were able to mitigate the threat to structures.

Crews are expected to remain on the scene throughout the night to gain full containment and mop-up hotspots.
