Fire Burns At American River Parkway

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) -- The Sacramento Fire Department is responding to a vegetation fire at American River Parkway near the five mile marker, close to the sight of a fire that burned earlier this week.

The department is recommending alternate routes for those in the area, as the fire is producing heavy smoke.

Sacramento Republic FC has released a statement saying all fans are being held at parking booths temporarily due to the smoke conditions. Tonight's home match is still scheduled to take place at its planned start time of 7:30 p.m.
